Gillian Jacobs........................Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Martina Magenau Jacobs, her mother was director of alumni relations at Heinz College for Carnegie Mellon University. Her family was raised by her father, William F. Jacobs Jr. Lebanon. She is French German Irish and Scottish origins. Jacobs' family was the owner of Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, established by the family in Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. held the post as President and CEO of the company between 1978 and the time of its closure. Jacobs started studying acting at the age of eight young and attended Saturday acting classes in the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she won the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest many times. Mt. Lebanon High School, in 2000 Jacobs moved in New York City New York to attend her studies at the Juilliard School where she was a member of Drama Division's Group 33. In 2004, she graduated with a bachelor's degree.
